Dr. Kalin C Alvey
Dr. Alvey graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in 2012. She pursued her Master's degree from the University of Louisville which she completed in 2015 with a specialization in military populations. She then went on to doctoral school at the University of Tennessee and became a Doctor of Clinical Social Work in 2020. She has worked with a variety of populations including LGBTQIA+, military and veterans, adolescents, and children. She has treated many diagnoses including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and substance abuse/addiction. She served active duty military in the Army and was honorably discharged as a Captain in 2022. She has also pursued a specialization in veterinary social work where she studied the human-animal bond and obtained a certification to practice equine assisted psychotherapy. She served a contract with a veterinary crisis hospital where she developed and facilitated a mental health series for associates in the field of veterinary medicine. Dr. Alvey utilizes a tailored approach for all clients and is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). She has a trauma certification and holds a board certified diplomat (BCD) from the Kentucky board of Social Work as well. She is currently pursuing a trauma focused yoga certification as well as therapeutic equestrian riding in order to become more diverse in her practices.
Andrea Flores
Hello! I am Andrea Flores. I strive to provide a warm and inclusive environment that will allow others to be themselves (free from any judgment) while they learn how to explore and accept themselves wholeheartedly. My background includes a master’s degree in social work from Brescia University and an LCSW license. My greatest passion is being able to walk beside others as they heal, not only themselves, but generations of secrets, burdens, and abuse. My favorite approaches to therapy are Narrative, DBT, CBT, and art/play therapy techniques. I have experience working with individuals with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, OCD, and substance abuse. I have a passion for serving individuals with unresolved trauma issues. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, reading books, and being creative.
Dr. Gregory C Franzman
Dr. Franzman earned his doctorate in Pastoral Counseling from Agape Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2022. He received his Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Western Kentucky University in 1999. He then passed the Kentucky State Licensure Exam to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in 2001 and completed Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor (LPCC-S) training in 2017. He also completed a two-year program and earned certification in Choice Theory/Reality Therapy from the Glasser Institute, Los Angeles California, 2010.
Dr. Franzman worked in (CSU) Critical Stabilization Unit for five years, 2016-2021 and did school-based psychotherapy at three different public schools, 2011-2021. Dr. Franzman worked for ten years, 2011-2021, as an out-patient psychotherapist in a community mental health agency. Dr. Franzman was a (QMHP) Qualified Mental Health Professional for five years assessing clients for state hospitalization. He was a Clinical Supervisor from 2018-2021 and Supervisor for (LPCA) Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, who were working towards licensure as LPCC. Dr. Franzman was Chair and Vice-Chair for an (EAP) Employee Assistance Program in an industrial setting for three years, 2007-2010. Dr. Franzman enjoys reading, music, traveling and spending time with his three grandchildren.
